Resource Church Leaders’ Gathering: South

A day for Resource Church leaders and their planting curate, to be inspired, encouraged and equipped as we spend time together in prayer, worship and strategic conversations. Our content will feature global, national and local perspectives, with a view to inspiring, encouraging and equipping you. There will be opportunity for prayer and interaction.

Bishop Graham Tomlin, will be opening our day. Graham is Director for the Centre for Cultural Witness & President of St Mellitus College. We will also be joined by psychologist Roger Bretherton, who will lead an interactive workshop that focuses on resilience as a means for leaders to navigate challenges and foster personal growth. An event for leaders in the South will be held on 24 March in London, at The Aldgate Centre, Aldgate High Street, London, EC3N 1AB.

An event for leaders in the North will be held on 31 March, at Preston Minster, Church Street, PR1 3BT.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided to ensure you can focus your time on catching up with one another. 

This invitation is extended to the Resource Church Leader (Senior Leader) and Planting Curate (where you have one) of each resource church.

Relational Resilience for Resource Church Leaders

Our workshop with Dr Roger Bretherton speaks to the understanding of resilience provided by the Resilience Leadership Institute: the ability to effectively address challenge, change, and complexity, and in doing so, to be enhanced, not diminished by these experiences. It focusses on the emotional toll often experienced by leaders in their closest working relationships: managing members of their team and reporting upwards to those who oversee them. It explores the way in which some of our most difficult interactions, approached with skill and curiosity, hold within them the potential for our greatest development as leaders and as people.
