Bishop Graham Tomlin

Graham Tomlin is Bishop of Kensington and President of St Mellitus College. He was Chaplain of Jesus College Oxford and Vice Principal of Wycliffe Hall, Oxford, where he taught within the Theology Faculty of Oxford University on Historical Theology. He was the first Dean of St Mellitus College and soon after becoming Bishop of Kensington, was very involved in the response to the Grenfell Tower fire in 2017. He was the Vice Chair of the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Commission on Housing, Church and Community. He is the author of many books, including Looking through the Cross (the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Lent Book for 2014), Bound to be Free: The Paradox of Freedom (Bloomsbury 2017), and most recently, Why Being Yourself is a Bad Idea and Other Countercultural Notions (SPCK 2020).
