New opportunities & new families at The Good Shepherd

With a heart for families, members of The Good Shepherd, Loughborough, had longed to reach out to their local community. The arrival of three new families has brought energy and resource, helping turn this longing into a reality.

When three families from Emmanuel Church in Loughborough felt God was calling them to move together to their local church, The Good Shepherd, it marked the beginning of a new chapter for a congregation who had been praying for many years for children and families to join.

Since the arrival of those three families The Good Shepherd has experienced significant growth. Among their new initiatives has been the start of a new fortnightly 4pm service aimed at families. ‘The Fold’ welcomes people of all ages from the community to enjoy time eating together and exploring how they can deepen their faith and discipleship.

Revd Kat Marjoribanks speaks of the joy of seeing the church full of ‘noise and life’, of deepening relationships and the blessings now being experienced both by long-standing and new members of this loving worshipping community.
