Bishop Neil Warwick

Bishop of Swindon, Bristol Diocese

Originally from Surrey, Bishop Neil worked in the transport industry in the Midlands in the 1980s and then in overseas development with World Vision. Neil’s time with World Vision and visits to many countries and communities had a profound impact on his life and faith.

It was on a trip to Zambia in 2000 that Neil first sensed God’s call to the church. He was ordained in 2005 and in 2009 became the vicar of St Nicolas Earley, a busy suburban church. In 2019, he became Archdeacon of Bristol and then Bishop of Swindon in late 2023.

Neil is never happier than when listening to jazz or shouting at a football match.
