Javaid Iqbal

Born and brought up in Pakistan, Javaid came to England for theological training. Having returned, he was ordained in the Diocese of Raiwind, served in two parishes and as Director of Mission and Evangelism.

Returning to England, he served in the Diocese of Leicester in two parishes and as an Honorary Canon of Leicester Cathedral. Moving to St Albans, he became Team Rector for a group of churches in Hertfordshire. He was elected Diocesan Chair of the House of Clergy.

He has also contributed to evangelism, diversity, intercultural worship and mission, interfaith work, and wellbeing. He has been serving as the Archdeacon of Doncaster in the Diocese of Sheffield since May 2020.
