Chris is the Archbishop of Canterbury’s advisor for evangelism and witness. He was previously vicar of St Laurence Reading for 19 years, a multi-generation church which lives to see young people come to faith and build new forms of church with them. His book, Yearning for the Vast and Endless Sea: the Good News about the good news, was published in February 2024 by Canterbury Press. He is married to the universally popular Belinda with three adult daughters who all run rings round him. Life is too short to drink bad coffee, read poorly written books, listen to awful music and not spend as much time as possible with friends.
