Bishop Sophie Jelley

Sophie Jelley has served as Bishop of Doncaster in the Diocese of Sheffield since March 2020. She has been involved in church leadership for almost 30 years, serving in a wide variety of contexts in the UK as well as Uganda in East Africa. She is passionate to see churches grow and for people to find their place in God’s kingdom purpose. Sophie is Lead Bishop for Lay Ministries in the Church of England and Sponsoring Bishop for vocations in the Diocese of Sheffield.
