Bishop Rob Wickham

Rob has worked as a parish priest in Willesden, Kings Cross and Hackney, and in 2015 was appointed Bishop of Edmonton and acting Bishop of Portsmouth in 2021. Fueled by a deep conviction that the lowest income communities have much to teach as a Gospel priority, Rob now leads the Church Urban Fund. He believes that encounters with Jesus change people, places and unjust structures, with the ultimate eradication of poverty.
Rob learnt Urban Regeneration at Durham University, and Theology, Politics and Faith Based Organisations at Kings, London. He also spent time as an estate worker in North Tyneside.
Rob is married to Helen, an education specialist, and they have three children. Rob is an Honorary Assistant Bishop in London, Southwark, St Albans and Portsmouth Dioceses.
