Bishop Arun Arora

Bishop of Kirstall

Arun was born and brought up in Birmingham. Ordained Priest in 2008, in 2010 he was appointed team leader at Wolverhampton Pioneer Ministries, a Fresh Expression of Church for young adults in Wolverhampton city centre. In 2017 he took up the role as Vicar of St Nicholas Church, Durham.

Arun has written widely for national and regional papers and is regular columnist for the Northern Echo. In 2021 he co-chaired the Archbishops’ Anti-Racism Taskforce which produced the report From Lament to Action. In 2022 he was elected as a participant observer to the House of Bishops. Since July 2022 he has served as Bishop of Kirkstall in the Diocese of Leeds. He is married to the Rev. Dr. Joanne Logan, a theological educator, and they have one teenage daughter, India.
