Jeremy and Esther Higham oversee Ministers of Jesus Out there (MOJO), a lay-led community that is transforming the way their members grow in their ministry with Jesus.

The journey of MOJO began after an inspiring interaction between Jeremy and a new apprentice at his film production company, Charlie. Jeremy noticed that Charlie had been to film school, so invited him to get stuck in and join the team in setting up for a shoot. On checking in to see how he was doing, Jeremy found Charlie standing awkwardly by, looking on. Charlie explained that while he had been to film school, it had largely been classroom-based learning, studying film makers rather than making films.

It was a lightbulb moment for Jeremy, who felt that this was exactly how the Church had been looking after its members – talking to them about Jesus rather than giving them opportunities to do what Jesus did. Jeremy shared his thoughts with his wife, Esther, and together they set about forming MOJO, inviting people out into mission field situations to do the things that Jesus did.
