Katie didn’t think she would ever be a leader. When her vicar, Cris Rogers, encouraged her to consider it, she thought the idea was ‘crazy’.

But Cris and the team of All Hallows Bow saw something in Katie that they wanted to nurture and invest in. An opportunity emerged for Katie to take part in the CCX Estates Apprenticeship Scheme, a two-year, hands-on training programme designed to equip emerging leaders from estates and low-income communities. It began a transformative journey for Katie, of discovering confidence around a calling into leadership in her church community.

‘As you invest in this work, you are literally unlocking leadership in people that have never seen it in themselves before,’ says Katie. Watch the following video to hear her experience of the Estates Apprenticeship Scheme.
