Plant Course Spring 2026

The Plant Course equips and prepares church planting teams in the why, what and how of starting a new church community. It is for those who are doing something in a new place, with new people, in a new way. The course takes a plant team on a two month journey, meeting once a week, led and managed by facilitators at set times and locations. You work through the course as part of a learning community and benefit from each other’s input.

Aim

By the end of the course, each church planting team will have a clear and robust sense of:

  • What God is calling them to (vision and values)
  • How they will set out (reaching new people)

At the conclusion of the Plant Course, the church planting team present their planting vision, strategic plan, budget and growth plans to one another and a panel of experienced clergy and experts. Collaborative feedback is given.

Information

  • The Plant Course runs from Friday 6 February to Thursday 26 March 2026
  • There are seven in-person sessions. Arrive from 9.15 am for coffee, with content starting at 9.30 am. We aim to finish at 1.30 pm
  • Refreshments are provided, but there is no lunch provision
  • There is a cost associated with attending the Plant Course, however the attendee contribution to this cost varies by diocese or network.
  • Bursaries are available
