Jesus said ‘Go and make disciples of all nations’. We know that he longs for the Church to grow and for everyone to respond to the good news of the Gospel. Paul teaches that it is God who makes things grow and our role is to be fellow workers, planting and nurturing the seeds of the kingdom.

Since 2016, the Gregory Centre for Church Multiplication (CCX) has been helping churches to explore church growth in different contexts, across different church traditions, and in different types of church – big, small, and in-between! Growth isn’t only measured in numbers, but in depth and impact. The Grow Course reflects this rounded approach. Church growth is healthy and normal and we encourage churches to pray for and enable, as well as to develop leaders and create church structures for growth.

The Grow Course helps churches to think about being intentional about growing in health, depth and impact through the use of course materials, learning communities and coaching. For everyone to encounter the love of God in Christ, we believe we need churches of different sizes and traditions. Every church is unique, so we help you to apply the course topics to your church community as it is right now. There are no golden rules or formulas for growth, rather we need to partner with God and see where the Holy Spirit is working.

By the end of the course, we hope that you will have more confidence as a leader and a belief that growth in health, depth and impact is more possible than before the start of the course. We would love you to have a strategy-based approach to mission and we would also love to see a discipleship and leadership pathway in place in your church as you make new disciples and grow leaders. The course runs for less than a year, but we hope that the topics you will discuss within your church and with other churches will inform you so you will still be referring back and using the information learned well beyond the end of the course.
